When the sun gets higher into the sky, your shadow becomes shorter. If you dont believe me, take a flashlight and pencil/pen. Hold the pencil/pen up right on a flat surface, then take the flashlight and making a half circle (Like making an umbrella like top over it). Then you will see that your shadow becomes shorter the closer to the center it is.
