The importance of truth is so that you are respected. Nobody respects you if you don't tell the truth. If you lie then you create a name for yourself that you WILL regret. Always tell the truth so that people see you as trustworthy and you will also be happier and more positive about life.

The importance of truth is that by truth you gain trust and credibility. If you're always lying about stuff, no one is going to ever believe anything you say.
