she gets $3.02 back because 3.49 (2) = 6.98. subtract 6.98 from 10 and you get 3.02!

If each pound costs 3.49 and we need two of them, then the total cost of the grapes is...

3.49 x 2 = 6.98

If Eleni pays with a $10 bill, she will get the following change back...
